We prefer your draft text as a Microsoft Word document, so that it’s ready to put through the World English software. But if necessary, we can also extract the text from a pdf.

We assess an existing publication or document against World English criteria and identify how to improve it.

We have three areas of focus:
• reader-focus – we analyse and develop insights about your target audience, and how these should affect the writing;
• text-focus – we compare the existing document against best practice benchmarks. This highlights areas for improvement;
• tone of voice – we assess the tone of voice and, if appropriate, gather views from our panel of ordinary readers.

We create a presentation which is accessible at a secure area of our website and which plays in Windows Media Player (which is already installed on most PCs with Microsoft XP). We also summarise findings and suggestions in a downloadable Word document.
